Stéphanie Caron

Lawyer

Stéphanie specialises in Belgian and international wealth planning. She supports her clients in structuring, protecting and transferring their wealth through a bespoke approach, combining legal rigour with a keen understanding of their personal circumstances.

She is equally proficient in civil law matters – such as marriage contracts, gifts, wills and powers of attorney – and tax law, particularly in relation to registration and inheritance duties. Convinced that every situation is unique, she analyses her clients’ specific needs in order to propose tailored, practical and sustainable solutions.

Thanks to her knowledge of French law, Stéphanie also works effectively in a Franco-Belgian context, particularly where there are family or wealth-related interests in France (family, investments or property acquisitions).

Stéphanie has also developed expertise in the transfer of family businesses. She supports business leaders in planning and organising the handover, balancing business continuity, family dynamics and legal and tax requirements.

Beyond advisory work, Stéphanie assists her clients in their dealings with the tax authorities. She acts in tax litigation cases relating to gift and inheritance tax to defend her clients at every stage of the proceedings.

Having graduated with a law degree from the Université libre de Bruxelles (2000), Stéphanie also practised there for seven years as an assistant, developing a strong legal rigour and a keen interest in in-depth legal analysis.

After ten years at a major Brussels law firm, where she acquired a strategic perspective on complex cases and a high standard of legal rigour, Stéphanie enriched her career with experience in the private banking sector.

Committed to sharing knowledge, Stéphanie is a trainer for Febelfin, where she regularly delivers training to professionals in the financial sector.

She is also the author of numerous academic articles contributing to legal discourse in her areas of expertise.
